Greg opened 2A Guns & Ammo in Martinsburg in November 2020, next door to his insurance office. Frederick came in 2022. Both stores are run by the family and the folks who have become part of it. We buy, sell, and trade every day, we answer the phone, and if we tell you something, you can count on it.
★ How this started
My daughter was eight and already big into hunting, fishing, and sports. I went over to Hendershot's in Hancock, sat down with Lance, and we built her and me a pair of AR-15s. Bought a couple of pistols while I was at it. Then I thought, let's open a small shop in Martinsburg, right next to my insurance office.
We opened November 16, 2020. People were lined up outside waiting for me to unlock the door. It took off from there. By March of 2021 we'd added accessories, targets, and optics because folks kept asking for them.
June of 2022 we opened the Frederick, Maryland store, and the welcome from that community was something. When Maryland loosened up on concealed carry, carry guns took off, and we added custom holsters, KORE Essentials, tactical gear, Champion safes, and more.
We've been blessed with the support of both towns. A lot of customers have become part of the 2A Guns & Ammo family. That's Greg, Becky, Anthony, Emma, and Ella, and everybody who walks through the door.
